Welcome to the February edition of our quarterly Newsletter.
We would like to take this opportunity of wishing you every success for 2017.
2016 has demonstrated the resilience of Irish business. Strong growth continues with in excess of 20,000 new Irish Company start-ups that year. It should be noted however that 50% of the start-ups were based in Dublin.
This level of new Company formations has been the second highest figure recorded in the past 36 years. Despite the impact of Brexit, analysts are forecasting continued economic growth in Ireland for 2017. The outlook is for continued job growth, increase in consumption and an increase of over 20% housing investment.
Limerick is undergoing a renaissance and has become an attractive destination to operate in.
It is a positive time for Limerick with over 2,000 jobs having been announced in 2016 and the trajectory projected to continue into the current year and beyond.
As a Limerick based Firm we are delighted that confidence appears to be returning to the region and the plans to develop 1.4 million square foot of office, residential and enterprise space over the next few years augurs well.
We look forward to the coming year and hope that we can develop our working relationship with you, especially those of you involved in the SME sector which is an area that we specialise in.
